I
offer a variety of services, ranging
from short term, specific research
to ongoing long term genealogy projects
and computerization of past research.
Specific research problems should
be accompanied by:
Family
group sheet, Pedigree chart and,
if available, genealogy format (Register
or Record) detailing the family
in question OR a PC-compatible disk
containing a GEDCOM of the family.
Detailed
listing of resources already viewed
(this is to avoid duplication of
research, though if deemed necessary
previous resources will be rechecked).
Detailed
description of exactly what problem
the client wishes resolved.
Long term genealogy projects
should be accompanied by the following
information:
Copies
of any family group sheets, pedigree
charts, or other family history
papers already in existence and/or
a GEDCOM PC-compatible disk.
Detailed
description of lines of particular
importance that the client wishes
to be a top priority, as well as
indications of any hereditary societies
the client wishes to join, apply
to, etc.
Indication
if the client wishes the information
found to be prepared for submission
to the LDS Church's databases (TempleReady
or Ancestral File) and whether the
client wishes the completed database
back in a GEDCOM format in addition
to printed reports.
For clients wishing the PC-compatible
computerization of their ancestry,
they should send the following:
Copies
of all genealogy records (family
group sheets, genealogy format,
etc.). Please DO NOT send originals.
Information
on the program they are planning
on using themselves, if known. I
use PAF and Ultimate Family Tree,
but can create a GEDCOM file for
importing to other programs. I also
have Generations, The Master Genealogist
and Family Tree Maker.
